Medical school and time sometimes seem like mortal enemies. Any time that you spend away from your studies can seem like it kills your success in school. And to do well in school, it may feel like you need to dedicate all of your time to medicine. This feeling is not trivial. I suspect this is one of the facts that has led to an increased suicide rate among medical students. But there is a silver lining here.
